Fifty successful years of Jammu Railway Station celebrated

JAMMU, Dec 2: Railways in Jammu today celebrated completion of fifty successful years of Jammu Railway Station.
The function in this regard was marked with different activities in which a uniformed force played its band.
Speaking on the occasion ADRM Baldev Raj thanked all for cooperation in this successful journey of Railway Station Jammu
He expressed hope that soon from Kashmir to Kanyakumari railways will spread its network.
“Earlier there was a train with 14 boogies and 400 passengers could travel in it and it required three stream engine to pull it and it ran only between Thane and Porbandar,” he said adding: “Now speed of our trains has increased manifolds and their capacity has also increased while there are many facilities in trains these days.”
Raj also said that the reservation system has also changed and one can get all entertainment facilities in the train today.
