MUMBAI: Popular TV actor Karan Kundra feels doing reality shows are as hectic as featuring in daily soaps, but the latter is even more taxing.
The “Kitni Mohabbat Hai” star has juggled both fiction and reality shows in his career. When asked if hosting a reality show is a better option today, Karan disagreed.
“No. It’s not like being just there. It’s a good mix of both. I know the time and the kind of hours that you have to give in for fiction is much more. It becomes very tiring and becomes very static. Reality (show) is a lot of fun, that’s true, but it’s equally hectic,” Karan told PTI.
The 31-year-old actor will be again seen in the latest season of MTV “Roadies” and feels both the genres in TV—reality shows and fiction—are doing well.
“Both are doing pretty well. Last year I did fiction and now again I’m back on Roadies. So I think you have to find your audience. If you find your audience and if you nail it then I don’t think it’s a problem in any good zone to be in.”
Apart from Karan, the 14th season of the show titled “Roadies Rising” would feature cricketer Harbhajan Singh, actress Neha Dhupia, Rannvijay Singh and TV actor Prince Narula as gang leaders.
The actor, who is part of the adventure reality series for the third consecutive season, feels this time the show will scale new heights especially with the entry of the off-spinner.
“I think Harbhajan Singh is someone we have to look forward to because he’s doing ‘googlies’ this year. Sometimes you want to throw a person out but he hits his googlie button and that person is back in…
“The journey this year is way tougher than what we’ve ever seen in Roadies. If you want to see a hardcore season with nothing holding back, it’s going to be Roadies Rising…”
The show will air on MTV soon. (AGENCIES)
