SRINAGAR, June 20: Minister of State for Science Technology and Information Technology, Feroz Ahmed Khan called on Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah and discussed various issues pertaining to development of Ladakh region with him.
The issues raised by Mr Feroz include enhancement of Compensatory Allowance (CA) for the employees of Kargil working in Ladakh region, damage caused to LT/HT lines in Zanskar Sub-Division, providing adequate funds for Kargil-Padam road under CRF, filling up of all the vacant posts in the Zanskar Sub-Division and a special recruitment drive for the youth of Kargil and Zanaskar constituencies for absorption in J&K Police.
The Chief Minister gave patient hearing and said the genuine demands of people of the region will be given due consideration.
