JAMMU, Apr 28: Jammu and Kashmir Female Multipurpose Health Workers (FMPHW) Welfare Association held one day protest to highlight their issues.
Amid slogans, hundreds of FMPHWs assembled outside Directorate of Health Services Jammu under the leadership of Neelam Kumari, Secretary General of the Association and Sushil Sudan, President, JKMEF.
While addressing the gathering, Neelam Kumari said that despite protest demonstrations, the Government is not bother about the plights of the female health workers. Schemes and programmes have been launched by the Central Government for female education and women but at the same time there is no salary for female workers, she added.
She stated that the State Government is misusing and diverting the salary funds and grants in unknown projects. She appealed to the State Government and BJP President Amit Shah, who is visiting the State from tomorrow to find out permanent solution of the 2211 head and for centrally sponsored schemes so that the employees working for the smooth running of such schemes are paid well in time.
Kamla Devi, Kanta Devi, Rekha Rani, Sarso Devi, Nirmal Kour, Geeta Massih, Kuldeep Kour, Swaran Kour, Sarfo Devi, Bharti, Sharda Devi, Rajni Bala, Shoba, Kanta Kumari, Sarita Devi, Adrish Devi, Champa Devi, Snesh Lata, Reeta Kumari, Rajni, Sudesh, Rani Devi, Babli, Gurmeet Kour and many others were present during the protest.
