KISHTWAR, Feb 21: A female infant was found dead in a drain here today.
As per police sources, early morning when sweepers of Kishtwar Municipality were on their routine job, they spotted some thing wrapped lying in drain and was shocked to see a dead female baby.
The matter was brought into the knowledge of police, which reached the spot and seized dead body.
The dead body of the infant has been shifted to mortuary of District Hospital.
A case under relevant sections has been registered at Kishtwar Police Station and investigation started.
