RAJOURI, Apr 8: A female among two drug peddlers were apprehended by Police during patrolling near Mehra Morh Khandli, Rajouri and 88 grams of cannabis like substance was recovered from them.
The accused were riding a scooty without number plate and were on way from Kotdhara to Rajouri. During their personal search police recovered cannabis like narcotics substance from their possession following which the duo was arrested.
The arrested accused were identified as Mohd Asif, son of Mohd Farooq, resident of Ward 2, Bhella Rajouri and Sameena of Malik Market Rajouri.
In this regard a case FIR under relevant sections of NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Rajouri. Further investigation is underway to trace the backward and forward linkages of the drug network.
