JAMMU, Apr 3: A felicitation ceremony was held at the DPL Conference Hall, Jammu, to mark the successful completion of the second batch of the two-month-long anti-extremist tactics course for personnel of the Jammu Zone.
Senior officers present at the event included Director General of Police (DGP) Nalin Prahat, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Jammu Bhim Sen Tuti, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Training Sarah Rizvi, AIG Training MK Pandita, SSP Jammu Joginder Singh, SP Operations Jammu Kameshwar Puri, and SO to IGP Jammu Vishal Manhas.
The specialized training, conducted at the Greyhounds Regional Training Centre, Visakhapatnam, focused on enhancing the skills of personnel in tackling extremist threats.
The course covered key areas such as Close Quarters Combat, weapons handling, urban warfare tactics, surveillance, cordon and search operations, endurance training, emergency first aid, and psychological resilience to prepare trainees for high-pressure situations.
During the felicitation, the DGP praised the personnel for their dedication and emphasized the importance of such training in strengthening counter-extremism efforts in Jammu and Kashmir.
He encouraged them to apply their expertise in operational deployments to ensure regional security.
The IGP Jammu also lauded the trainees for their perseverance and professionalism.
Outstanding performers were recognized at the event, with Constable Mohammad Farooq (District Kathua) receiving the All-Round Best award.
Other achievers included SPO Sachen Kumar (District Doda) for All-Round Best in PPT, Constable Mohammad Naseem (District Poonch) for All-Round Best in BOAC, and PSI Sanjay Kumar for securing All-Round 3rd Position in the written examination.
The dignitaries applauded their efforts and commitment to excellence in training.
