JAMMU, June 24: Financial Commissioner, Health and Medical Education (H&ME) Department, J&K, Atal Dulloo today paid a visit to Directorate of Indian System of Medicines (ISM) and reviewed working of the department with regard to COVID-19 Pandemic.
Director ISM, Dr Mohan Singh apprised the Financial Commissioner that the Department is providing immunity boosting AYUSH medicines and single herbs like Unnab (Berr), Behidana (Bahl), Sapistan (Lasoda) and Amla, to frontline workers of Health & Medical Education Department/ old age homes/ PRIs/ Police Department/ Administrative Units/ Municipal Corporations/ Municipalities etc.
Dr Singh told Dulloo that AYUSH staff is also performing duties in Quarantine Centres, Surveillance Teams, Rapid Response Teams, Screening, IEC, District COVID-19 Control Rooms, etc. Dulloo was further informed that that a webinar was organized recently by Assistant Director In-charge, RARIUD, CCRAS, Jammu, Dr V C Deep on sensitization of AYUSH practitioners and public regarding usage of AYUSH advisories and measures in prevention of COVID-19 through AYUSH Sanjavani Mobile App.
The Financial Commissioner directed the officers and officials of ISM not to leave any stone unturned in providing best AYUSH Health Care services to the masses. He further asked them to encourage the masses to download the Sanjavani App and avail benefits out of it.
