Father-son arrested with brown sugar, sharp edged weapons

JAMMU, July 23: Miran Sahib police arrested father-son along with brown sugar and two sharp edged weapons from Maralia area.
As per police sources, on specific information, police team from Miran Sahib police station laid a naka at Maralia and signaled a Swift Desire bearing registration number JK21B-6605 to stop.
On seeing police party, the driver accelerated the vehicle and tried to escape, but was chased by the active cops of Miran Sahib police and intercepted near some distance from the naka point.
During checking of the vehicle, police recovered 13 grams of brown sugar and two sharp edged weapons. Two persons were arrested on the spot, happens to be father-son.
The accused have been identified as Mohammad Ishaq Choudhary alias Shaka, son of Rehmat Ali and his son Zeshan Choudhary alias Jimmy, resident of Gujjar Colony, Channi Himmat.
A case under FIR Number 116/15 under Section 8/21/22/29 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and 4/25 Indian Arms Act has been registered against them at police station Miran Sahib and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Miran Sahib police station SI Hilal Azhar made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Harjeet Singh, SP Headquarters Randheer Singh and Incharge SSP Jammu Rajive Pandey.
