JAMMU, June 28: A father and his son have been arrested for selling illicit liquor in village Rangpur Sidhrey, falling under the jurisdiction of RS Pura police station.
As per police sources, based on reliable information, a police team led by SDPO RS Pura Surinder Choudhary under the supervision of SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal conducted raid in a general store at village Rangpur Sidhrey.
During the raid, police recovered 43 pouches of illicit liquor from the shop and arrested a person along with his son.
The accused have been identified as Sardari Lal, son of Karan Chand and his son Krishan Lal, resident of village Rangpur Sidhrey. They were selling the illicit liquor pouches to masses for illegitimate profits.
A case under FIR Number 138/17 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered against them at police station RS Pura and investigation started.
