SRINAGAR, Apr 9: National Conference president Dr Farooq Abdullah arrived in Srinagar today from Delhi after undergoing a surgery and intensive follow-up treatment in London.
He was welcomed at the Sheikh-ul-Alam (RA) Srinagar Airport by senior National Conference leaders, workers and party activists.
Before arriving in Srinagar, Dr Farooq Abdullah spent a few weeks in Delhi after his return from London where he underwent a Kidney transplant surgery.
On arriving at Srinagar Airport, Farooq prayed for the State’s prosperity and integrity and said the interests of the common-man are paramount and should be the focal point of all politics. He also said that J&K’s political honour and dignity cannot be toyed with at any cost and that National Conference would continue to be the bulwark of the State’s political aspirations and sentiments.
