Farooq put on antibiotic injections

JAMMU, Apr 17: Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy and National Conference president, Dr Farooq Abdullah remained stable in private ward of VIP block in All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), where he was admitted yesterday due to chest and pneumonic infection.
Dr Abdullah would be administered antibiotic injections for three days and then put on tablets.
His condition was constantly being reviewed by specialized teams of Department of Respiratory Medicines and Sleep Disorder of AIIMS headed by Dr Randeep Guleria and Dr GC Khilani.
Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare Ghulam Nabi Azad would visit Dr Abdullah at 8.15 am tomorrow.
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah visited his father twice during last two days to enquire his condition. Union Minister of State for Communications, Sachin Pilot, son-in-law of Dr Abdullah and his wife also visited Farooq yesterday as well as today.
