Farooq provoking Kashmiris to satiate vested interests: Kavinder

JAMMU, Dec 6: Castigating Dr Farooq Abdullah for provoking Kashmiris to emulate sacrifices made by farmers protesting against farm laws to get J&K’s special status back, former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta said that NC President was misleading the people to satiate his own vested interests.
The senior BJP leader was addressing a gathering during a special camp organized to distribute Aadhaar Cards, Ayushman Cards and E-shram cards, here at ward number 47, falling in Bahu Fort area.
Kavinder said that the shops of so-called Kashmir centric parties have been shut due to the nullification of Article 370 and that is the reason behind Dr Farooq and his ilk speaking against the Government and instigating the people for upheaval. “This is nothing but an attempt to mislead the common man in Valley to stand against the Government because dynastic party NC and other outfits on the same pedestal have got the idea that without Article 370 the future of their parties is bleak and hence the leaders are getting restless to demand back the contentious Article which left the entire population of J&K lurching for basic amenities in the last over 70 years,” he said and added that PM Narendra Modi has freed the people of the UT from the clutches of this ‘bad’ Article of Constitution and therefore there is no chance for restoration of Article 370.
Talking on restoration of statehood back to J&K UT, he said that Home Minister Amit Shah has made it clear that statehood will be returned at the right time as Government is going to hold polls immediately after the delimitation process is over.
The senior BJP leader asked the party cadre to disseminate information about public welfare schemes started by PM Modi among the masses so that people may avail the benefits without fail. He said that opposition parties are opposing BJP’s policies for the sake of opposition and therefore there is no need to pay any attention to the unfounded accusations against the Government led by dedicated PM Modi.
Others who were present on the occasion, included Vinay Gupta, BJP district president; Sharda Kumari, Corporator, Sunny Sangotra, Shallu Gupta, Karuna Khetri and Dalbir Singh.
