Farooq pays homage at APJ Abdul Kalam Memorial

JAMMU, Jan 6: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President and MP from Srinagar Dr Farooq Abdullah visited APJ Abdul Kalam memorial in Rameshwaram, Tamil Nadu.
He offered Fatiha and floral tributes at the resting place of the former President of the country.
Farooq also visited the former President’s residence. On the occasion, he called Late APJ a great human being and a patriot to the core in the real sense of the word. “He was instrumental in not only crafting the country’s space program but also in strengthening its defence. Country will remember his contribution for all the times to come,” he said.
Earlier Dr Farooq visited Kohinoor house in Kodaikanal Tamil Nadu, where Sher-e-Kashmir Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah was incarcerated from July, 1965 to June 1967.
