DODA, Nov 23: Former Union Minister Dr Farooq Abdullah and former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah along with other dignitaries today inaugurated the newly launched Doda Digital Cable Network.
Former Minister Ali Mohammad Sagar, Former Home Minister Khalid Najeeb Suharwardy, MLA Nagrota Devender Singh Rana, provincial youth president NC Aejaz Jaan, former NC Chairman Zaffarullah Rather and district youth president of NC, Syed Naveed Hashmi were also present during the inauguration ceremony.
In their welcome address, Managing Director of Doda Digital Cable Network, Kuldeep Singh and Manager Adil Khurwani informed the guests that from the last 2 months, Doda Digital Cable Network has been functioning in Doda and they have provided more than 1300 digital set top boxes among subscribers besides setting up of a digital control room.
Speaking on the occasion, the guests including Dr Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah lauded the efforts of Doda Digital Cable Network for launching digital cable network system in Doda region. They further said that media is the forth pillar of democracy and has the responsibility to disseminate important and useful information to the society.
