SRINAGAR: After remaining absent from the political picture of Jammu and Kashmir during Assembly elections due to health reasons, National Conference (NC) president and former chief minister Farooq Abdullah presided over party’s Core Group meeting here today.
This was the first Core Group meeting Dr Abdullah chaired after NC’s disappointing performance in the Assembly elections last year, in which the party managed to win only 15 seats.
An NC spokesperson said the meeting was also attended by party Working President Omar Abdullah and other senior party leaders who constitute the party’s Core Group. He said Dr Abdullah reviewed the organizational matters of the past two months and also reviewed various political developments in the State.
The Leaders of the Core Group spoke about various points pertaining to the organization and the political scenario in the State. (AGENCIES)
