Farooq asks party cadre to launch mass contact programme

JAMMU, May 17: A delegation of National Conference (NC) Central Zone (Jammu, Samba and Kathua) met former Chief Minister and NC president, Dr. Farooq Abdullah at his Srinagar residence and discussed with him the current political scenario and issues being faced by general masses.
The delegation was led by former Minister and NC Central Zone president, Babu Rampaul while Dr. Vikas Sharma, Bharat Bushan, Aslam Choudhary, Sandesh Shan and Arvind Singh Jamwal, coordinators and secretaries of Central Zone NC also accompanied him.
The delegation apprised Dr. Abdullah about various problems being faced by J&K people after August 5, 2019 and it also took up various party related matters.
Dr. Abdullah asked the party leaders to hit the ground frequently and launch mass contact programme to mobilise public support in favour of NC ahead of forthcoming Assembly elections.
“Party leadership is aware of problems being faced by the public since the revocation of Article 370 and vowed to fight for restoration of the same through all means,” he added.
Dr. Abdullah also said that NC is committed to strengthen communal harmony and social fabric.
He asked Party cadres to work in this direction so that the communal forces are given a decisive reply.
