Farmers postpone ‘Aakrosh Rally’

JAMMU, Sept 14:  On the assurance of Vice Chairman, State Advisory Board for Development of Kissans, Daljit Singh Chib, the farmer associations of Jammu division have postponed tomorrow’s Aakrosh rally.
While speaking to the delegation here today, Chib said that a meeting of farmer’s associations will soon be planned with the Deputy Chief Minister and the Agriculture Minister for an early redressal to their vital issues. He assured that the Government would look into their issues and resolve them on priority.
The members of the delegation apprised the Vice-Chairman of their grievances.
The Vice-Chairman, after having elaborate discussion, assured the members of resolving all the issues whether it is waiving off the Kissan Credit Card loan, compensation for the loss of Rabi crops and the possible way out for proper procurement and export of Basmati rice.
During the meeting, the delegation unanimously agreed to postpone the Aakrosh Rally to be held tomorrow.
