JAMMU, May 26: A warm farewell was accorded to Sangeeta Gupta who has recently been elevated to the post of Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, by the office of Commissionerate of Income Tax, Jammu.
The function was attended by the prominent tax payers, members of Chamber of Commerce, Trade Federations, CAs, tax professionals, advocates. Light was thrown by prominent guests and officials on the contributions made by the Income Tax Department under the guidance of Sangeeta Gupta besides discussing her achievements in the field of literature, poetry, painting and art.
Various eminent personalities who spoke on the occasion included Dr Rita Jitender, Yash Pal, Sudhir Arora, President Bar Association, Rakesh Gupta Chamber of Commerce and from the department S.K. Sharma (Addl. CIT), Dr Ruveda Salam (ACIT), Bashir Ahmed Bhat (ACIT).
Speaking on the occasion, Sangeeta Gupta expressed her gratitude to all the tax payers, tax advisors and IT Department team for their cooperation for not only achieving the targets allotted to J&K Circle but exceeding the targets convincingly and making the IT Department of the J&K the top performer in North-West region.
