Fake SIM card racket busted, 3 arrested

RAJOURI, Sept 30: The police today busted a fake SIM card racket and arrested three persons in this connection.
A senior police official said that tightening noose around black-marketeers of SIM cards of various telecom companies, police today busted a racket involved in the crime and arrested three persons from Alpha Gate area of Rajouri town today.
He said acting on a tip-off, a team of SOG raided the area and arrested three persons, selling fake SIM cards.
The arrested persons were identified as Arun Sharma, son of Ved Parkash, Natish Kumar, son of Subash Chander and Sahil Kumar, all residents of Muradpur in Rajouri.
During searches, 27 number of SIM cards and documents issued on fake identity proofs were seized from them. During preliminary investigations, the accused persons disclosed that they had sold hundreds of SIM Cards on fake ID proof to unknown persons to mint money.
Police have registered a an FIR No 521/2014 under Sections 420, 467, 468 and 471 RPC.
