Failed SAARC

Sir,
Refer article “SAARC an almost failed organization’ DE Aug 10.
Right from its inception, the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) has failed in its objective of developing  cooperation among its members.
It always falls pray to the face-off between India and Pakistan. The deteriorating relationship between the two countries affects the  working of this organisation. Had the member countries worked in unison, a new era in prosperity and peace would have ushered in by this time  in the region.
The organisation  should be given one or two chances  more to make its impact felt in the region. In case that does not happen, it is suggested that this should be dissolved for the good of all countries.
Yours etc…
