Sanjay Aggarwal, appreciated the initiatives taken by the Department in digitalizing Automobile Trade with introduction of online services like Upload of Trade Certificates, Vehicle Registration and Online Licensing etc. to streamline processes.
He further highlighted the eight key concerns and pain points of sealer fraternity like, auto dealership trade certificate issues including renewal of trade certificate for five years minimum, trade certificate fee structure regularization as per CMVR, single trade certificate providing for multiple locational dealers and clearance of pending applications for trade certificate renewals.
He demanded that dealer Payments stuck in Vahan portal need to be released because huge amounts stuck therein have been hampering day to day financial operations of dealers.
He said model approval TAT & Minor cosmetic change need not to have approvals for those minor cosmetic changes in the upcoming models.
The rampant issue of vehicles coming from outside UT has been causing loss of revenue to our Government and business opportunity to auto dealers here and needs to be tackled.
He said UT Government needs to issue clear guidelines on the implementation of Vehicle Scrappage Policy in J&K.
People of Jammu and Kashmir are not having the privilege of alternate fuel CNG in the UT in comparison to other regions of the country.
Therefore, provisioning of installation of CNG Petrol Pumps here offer a fuel which is environmentally friendly, reduces maintenance cost, produces significantly less pollutants than petrol/diesel, offers natural gas which is cheaper and safer than petrol/diesel and a green fuel.
