Face-off on border to end, China agrees to pull back

NEW DELHI, Sep 25:
After 16-day of face-off in Chumar sector of eastern Ladakh, China’s PLA is learnt to have agreed for a phased pull back and restore the position as it was on September 10.
According to informed sources, a flag meeting of the Army commanders of India and China was held at Chushul border post and the decision of phased withdrawal of troops was arrived after tough negotiations. The meeting between the two sides took place at  Spangurgap post in the Chinese side, facing the Indian last post at Chushul.
Two armies were locked in face-off situation in the Chumar area.
The Chinese Army was insisting that the Indian Army should remove a tin-roof hut which it had erected in the first week of this month. On the other hand, India reiterated its position that Chinese troops must go back to their original bases. (AGENCIES)
