Eye, ENT camps organised by Sewa II Power Station

JAMMU, Nov 16: Sewa-II Power Station, NHPC Ltd in collaboration with Rotary Eye and ENT Hospital, Udhampur organized free Eye and ENT consultation medical camps at NHPC Colony, Sarthali (J&K) on November 13 and Eye and ENT camp with Cataract Surgery on November 14 and 15 at NHPC Hospital, Khairi (HP).
The medical camps had been organized under the Corporate Social Responsibility – Sustainable Development scheme of NHPC for the year 2014-15. The camps had been inaugurated by PK Langer, Chief Engineer-incharge, Sewa-II Power Station.
A total of 712 patients from Sarthali, Bani and Mashka (J&K) and Khairi (HP) were examined in these camps for various Eye and ENT diseases. Out of the 712 patients, Hearing Aids were given to 63 patients free of cost. Free Cataract operation was performed on 46 patients during the camp.
Patients were also referred to Eye and ENT Hospital, Udhampur for further Eye and ENT surgeries, the cost of which shall also be borne by Sewa-II Power Station.
