JAMMU, Mar 13: An eye-care medical camp was organized by Border Security Force (BSF) with the assistance of Centre for Eye Sight, Rehari (Jammu) at historic Border Out Post (BOP) Octroi, under the shadow of recently inaugurated majestic and fluttering giant 131 feet National Flag, Suchetgarh Block, R S Pura.
The camp was organized as a part of series of medical camps organized by BSF to foster a close bond with the border population. This camp was an outcome of the interaction of NS Jamwal, IG BSF, Jammu Frontier, BSF with the border villagers wherein they requested for such camp.
The programme was inaugurated by Surjit Singh, DIG, SHQ BSF, Jammu, in presence of Ajay Suryavanshi, Commandant BSF, Dr Srishty Sen, MBBS, MS (Ophthalmology) and her dedicated team, Dr Pryanka Bharti (SMO), other BSF Officials and villagers.
During the medical camp, Dr Srishty Sen and her team examined a total of 311 civilians from various border villages. Free medicines were also distributed on the occasion.
