JAMMU, Mar 13: To celebrate Sant Ramakrishna Jayanti, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) in coordination with Sangam Tru Art Production here today presented open air theatre musical play ‘Parmahansa’ on the theme of National Integration and Communal Harmony.
The play was produced by M.L Dogra. The programme was inaugurated by chief guest Vijay Kumar, former Deputy Superintendent of Police while Dr. Tara Singh Charak, former Deputy Director Health Department and Dr. Anju Kumari Dogra from Directorate of Health were guests of honour.
Specially prepared programmes on the theme ‘Prabhu Mere Avgun Chit Na Dharo’ etc were presented to aware the masses.
Music in the programme was composed by Raju Bajgal. The chief guest said that Ramakrishna was a famous Saint of 19th century in India.
“He is popularly known as Ramakrishna Parmahansa among his devotees,” he said.
Welcome speech was given by M.L Dogra, Chai-rman BLSKS who highlighted the importance of Ramakrishna Jayanti.
The singers, musician, actors and students of Music and Computer Institute who participated in the play were Usha Handoo, K.K Joshi, M.C Kotwal, Rajni Gupta, Raju Bajgal, Bindia Arora, Sanjeev Kumar Sodhi, Tilak Raj, Sanjay Pashi, Jagjeet Singh Awal, Sudesh Manhas, Sudesh Kumari, Pummy, Kamla Devi, Rakshita Sharma and others.
Master Deepak Kumar presented vote of thanks.
