KISHTWAR, June 28: Three-day eye camp organized by Dulhasti Power Station in association with KLSM Rotary, Eye & ENT Hospital at NHPC Hospital, Kishtwar under Corporate Social Responsibility-Sustainable Development Scheme of NHPC Limited, concluded today.
The camp was inaugurated by Arvind Bhat, General Manager, Dulhasti Power Station in the presence of Ajay Mathur, Chief Engineer (Civil), NHPC Limited, Dr Parvez Wani, Medical Superintendent, District Hospital, Kishtwar, DN Sharma, Chairman, Rotary Udhampur, Dr Manoj Kumar Yadav from Rotary, Dr Sham Prasad Gupta, Chief Medical Officer, Kishtwar, Colonel Aneel Sadhotra, 9 RR bsides other doctors and officers from NHPC Limited and State Government.
On the opening day of the camp, 327 patients from Kishtwar and its surrounding areas suffering from various eye problems were registered and checked up out of which 58 were identified for Small Incession Cataract Surgery (SICS) which was taken up by Dr Yadav and his Team Members in the evening.
In all, 603 patients from Kishtwar and its surrounding areas suffering from various eye ailments were registered and checked during the 3-day camp up out of which 97 were operated for Small Incession Cataract Surgery (SICS).
During the camp, besides food and free medicines, spectacles were also provided to the patients.
