JAMMU, Jan 30: Police and Special Operations Group (SOG) today recovered a consignment of explosive devices and ammunition from Qazi Mohalla at village Sangiot in Mendhar tehsil of Poonch district.
Recoveries were made on a specific information developed jointly by police and SOG.
Recoveries included four grenades of Under Barrel Grenade Launcher (UBGL), one Improvised Explosive Device (IED), two batteries, one AK magazine, 45 AK rounds and some accessories.
After effecting the recoveries, police and SOG teams of Mendhar headed by SDPO Mendhar Amit Bhasin under the supervision of SSP Poonch Shamsheer Hussain conducted searches in the area. However, no arrests were made from the spot.
