In a letter addressed to Governor, Vikramaditya said that the inhabitants of Reasi use only less than 8 km of Highway but the authorities at Ban Toll Plaza charge full amount i.e. Rs 200 for return journey and Rs 135 for single journey from the private vehicles of district Reasi.
He said the public of Katra is exempted from paying the toll tax at ban Toll Plaza and they have been issued monthly passes from highway authorities whereas people of Reasi, Mahore and Pouni uses the same stretch of Highway but are forced to pay huge price for the same, which is injustice and heavy burden on the pockets of people of district Reasi.
Vikramaditya on behalf of the residents of district Reasi appealed Governor SP Malik to take appropriate steps to exempt the vehicles plying from district Reasi to Jammu and vice versa from toll tax or repair and restart the old road via Nandani.
