SRINAGAR:Taking a jibe at the Centre over the escalation of violence from Pakistan at the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu region, former chief minister Omar Abdullah said he never expected much from the Ufa meet but was disappointed at swift unraveling of evemts.
Taking to micro-blogging site twitter to express his disappointment over the escalation of violence at LoC, Mr Abdullah, who is also the working president of National Conference (NC), said, no exchange of sweets instead exchange of heavy fire along the LoC. I never expected much from Ufa but am disappointed at the swift unraveling.
Mr Abdullah was referring to the traditional practice of exchanging sweets on festivals by the Army officials of India and Pakistan in the past. (agencies)
