JAMMU, Dec 30: A book, entitled ‘Economic Zoology and Animal Biotechnology’, authored by Dr P Bambroo, was released during a simple but impressive function at GGM Science College Jammu, here today.
The book was released by Prof Y R Malhotra, former Vice Chancellor of Jammu University, who was chief guest on the occasion, along with Prof Ajeet Angral, Nodal Principal, Prof M K Raina, Prof M K Jyotyi and Prof Kuldeep Sharma, former Heads of the Departments of Zoology, JU.
The programme was attended by Zoology faculty of different colleges of Jammu division, besides Dr Ravender Tickoo, Dr Ashok Kumar, Dr Vir Jee, Vijay Nazir, Surjeet Chiken and others including students.
The author deliberated on how inspiration from Prof Malhotra, importance of this subject for self employment and helplessness of students to gain access to information related to Economic Zoology and Animal Biotechnology provided him impetus to author this book. While inviting suggestions on the book from the teachers, the author hoped that the book will go a long way in leaving available the significant information on the subject.
