CCM stresses for strengthening Cong

JAMMU, July 28: A crucial Coordination Committee meeting (CCM) was held at Akali Kot Singh Nagar, Ward 58, Jammu South to discuss strategies for strengthening the Party at grassroots level and expanding the influence of Congress policies in the region.
The meeting saw the active participation of several prominent members of the Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC), local leaders and ex-servicemen.
Key attendees included Taranjit Singh Tony, general secretary JKPCC and DDC Member Suchetgarh, Ch Dwarka, ex-Chairman JMC, secretary JKPCC, Shamsher Chand, Member AICC, Balwinder Singh Rinku, Coordinator, Suman Ch, PCC Member, Shalu Singh, Jugal Kishore, Vice Chairman, Coordination Committee, Mandeep Singh, Jeet Raj- Members, Rajesh Meenia and others.
The primary focus of the meeting was to emphasize the importance of grassroots workers in disseminating the policies and vision of Rahul Gandhi, and to reinforce the local committee’s efforts in this direction.
During the meeting, a significant development unfolded as several ex-servicemen, feeling betrayed by the BJP’s handling of the One Rank One Pension (OROP) issue, decided to join the Congress. Retd Capt Surinder Singh, Capt Bachiter Singh, Capt Gurbaksh Singh, and Capt Wazir Singh joined the Congress fold and expressed their discontent with the current administration’s policies, including the Agniveer Scheme, which they found unacceptable.
The ex-servicemen assured the meeting attendees of their commitment to enhancing the ex-Servicemen Wing of the Congress. Their decision to join the party came after persistent efforts by the Coordination Committee, which has been actively working to address the concerns of ex-servicemen and other marginalized groups.
The Coordination Committee pledged to continue their efforts to strengthen the leadership of Rahul Gandhi, AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge, and Congress J&K president Vikar Rasool Wani. They expressed their determination to build a robust support system for the Congress at all levels, ensuring that the party’s policies and initiatives reach every corner of the region.
