KATHUA, Oct 12: The Ex-servicemen Welfare Association Kathua took serious note of sale of fire crackers in the Kathua city illegally under the nose of district administration Kathua.
While addressing the media person district president of the Association Capt.(retd) Gian Singh Pathania and general secretary Nirmal Singh alleged that the Kathua city is on the heap of ammunition and crackers and any eventuality can take place as the sale of fire crackers is openly going on in residential areas. “There is no one to check the same”, he added.
He said that a blast also took place last year during the Diwali festival due to fire crackers due to which there was a loss of property and injury to three persons. But district administration did not learn any lesson from the accident.
