JAMMU, Dec 3: An Ex-Serviceman died when his car was hit by an Oil Tanker near Maneh Manwal, under the jurisdiction of Jhajjar Kotli Station, here today.
The deceased was identified as Ex- serviceman Kuldeep Singh, son of Dhani Ram of Manwal.
The Swift car, bearing number JK14F/1035, was on its way from Manwal to Kishanpur when it was hit by the oil tanker bearing registration number HR37D/0083, coming from opposite direction. The collision took place near Maneh Morh, 26 Km from Udhampur, resulting into critical injuries to the car driver.
The injured was rushed to the Northern Command Military Hospital Udhampur where he succumbed to his injuries after some time.
Meanwhile, locals of Manwal held demonstration against Jammu Police for not reaching in time at the place of accident.
