JAMMU, Jan 15: J&K Ex-Policemen League (Jammu) has stressed upon the need to set up Grievances Redressal Forum for the retired police men and address other issues through this cell.
In a meeting of the League held here today under the chairmanship of Shamsher Bhagat, district general secretary for Jammu, the members projected their issues. They demanded appointment of nodal officer and creation of Grievances Cell for redressal of their issues and liasioning among Police, Home, Finance Departments and Accountant General, J&K office.
They also demanded enhancement of Medical Allowance, widening ecope of welfare measures , reservation / quota for the wards of policemen and removal of pay anomalies already projected by the League.
Members including R K Bhardwaj, Ch Chirag Din, Mohd Sadiq, Des Raj, Ashok Kumar and Manohar Lal also spoke on the occasion.
