JAMMU, Sept 17: Ex-Policemen League held a meeting which was presided over by its President SK Arora and General Secretary Shamsher Bhagat.
In the meeting various issues including equal opportunity in allotment of plots/flats in police colonies proposed, implementation of recommendations of pay commissions revised schedules from AG Office, removal of anomalies in pay and pension of employees, lack of health care facilities and shortage of specialized doctors in Police Hospital and availability of life saving medicines, early finalization of litigations and regularization of Inspector to the rank of DySP.
The office bearers of the League expressed concern about the grievances of the serving police personnel ushering into impeding pension settlement and arrears, construction of stay homes for all ranks at Tehsil level for those who visit for duties and court attendance.
Among others present were PR Sharma National General Secretary, Dhian Singh Secretary, Kare Singh Secretary, Ved Raj Secretary, Manhor Lal Cashier, Yoginder Singh Advisor, Vijay Khajuria Vice President, TP Singh Secretary, Ashok Bhagat, Ragbir Singh, Omkar Baugal and Kuldeep Raj.
