RAJOURI, Feb 15: Retired police personnel discussed their several issues in a meeting held here today.
Om Parkash Sharma, retired Police Inspector who chaired the meeting raised the issues of the retired policemen and their families. He demanded that ailing and needy policemen and their families be provided assistance from Police Welfare Fund. It was also stressed upon the DG Police to take a review of the Police Welfare Rules and make some necessary amendments. The assistance should also be provided for the marriage of their wards. They reiterated the old demand of Ex-Police Personnel Welfare League regarding review of old order No. 428 of 2001.
The meeting extended gratitude to the DIG Rajouri-Poonch Range and the SSP Rajouri for the cooperation.
