Ex-MP asks Modi Govt to release refugees’ package

Akhnoor, Nov 12 : Senior Congress leader and former Minister & MP Madan Lal Sharma while addressing a series of public meetings at Naiwala, Chak Kripalpur, Muthi & Maira in Akhnoor Constituency appealed the Government of India to accord sanction to the package of refugees recommended by the State Government on top priority.
He said that Coalition Government has recommended one time settlement of PoK/ Chhamb displaced families at the rate of Rs. 25 lakhs per family to the Government of India . Mr. Sharma said that those terming coalition decisions on refugees a political gimmick are be-fooling the people as people know that Congress president Sonia Gandhi and former Prime Minister S. Manmohan Singh had asked the State Government to send the proposal but Kashmir Centric people could not made it happen but now this came true by the Congress pressure and agreed to the refugees package, as without it Government of India was not able to actually help refugees.
Mr. Sharma appealed the people to send Sham Lal Sharma PHE Minister  back to the  Assembly to watch the interests of Jammu region and the responsibility lies on the shoulders of the  Akhnoor to re-elect him in the interest of Akhnoor in particular and Jammu region in general.
