NOWSHERA, July 16: PCC chief spokesman and former MLC Ravinder Sharma paid visit to the Sunderbani and Nowshera blocks of Rajouri district and took stock of the problems of people.
Addressing meeting of party workers at Sunderbani, Mr Sharma said that the Coalition Govt in the State has miserably failed to come up to the promises and expectations of the people, as a result, the people are suffering for the basic amenities of life. The people complained about the power crisis in the area. They said that there are prolong scheduled and unscheduled power cuts. If any transformer goes faulty, it takes weeks together to replace it or get the fault rectified, as a result the water supply is also affected.
The condition of roads is deplorable and urgent repairs has not been taken up and work of the projects sanctioned by the previous Govt have not been executed in the area. The people also complained that the Science subject has not been introduced in the Degree College Sunderbani, and a large number of students are suffering. There was complaint of the people that a large number of families have been left for making Aadhar Cards. Mr Sharma urged upon the administration to strengthen the system so that the left out people are issued with Aadhar Cards.
The meeting also expressed concern over the situation in Kashmir valley and the failure of Government to deal with the situation. It cautioned the people against the mischievous and nefarious designs of antinational forces and appealed to the people to maintain communal harmony.
