Ex-MLA demands airports at Rajouri, Poonch

Rajouri, June 3: Congress leader and former legislator Ashok Sharma convened a meeting of Block Congress Committee office bearers, halqa presidents, Panchs and Sarpanchs at Tatapani in Kalakote constituency and urged upon them to strengthen Congress at grass root level for ensuring a decisive victory for the party in the forth coming Assembly elections in the State.
Mr Sharma said that Congress has successfully met various challenges in its 130 years of glorious history and expresses confidence that with able leadership and hard work of party rank and file, it would a regain its strength very soon. He said the Congress activists should fan-out in entire length and breadth of the constituency and explained to the people, the necessity of ensuring victory of the Congress.
The senior Congress leader demanded development of adequate tourism infrastructure at Tatapani and all others scenic and historical places in the twin border district of Rajouri and Poonch. He also urged for construction of airports at Rajouri and Poonch to bring the area on the air map of the country.
Among others who spoke on the occasion included M.Y. Mughal, Dr. Yash Paul Sharma, Hans Raj, Som Raj Khajuria, Ram Parkash, Shakti Kumar, Rattan Lal, Kashmir Singh and Noor Hussain.
