JAMMU, Apr 4: State Vigilance Organization today registered case against Faqir Chand Bhagat, the then Director Urban Local Bodies, Sarwan Kumar Choudhary, the then Executive Officer Municipal Committee Vijaypur and others for making illegal appointments.
According to the FIR, a preliminary enquiry conducted into the allegations of illegal appointments made by Faqir Chand Bhagat, the then Director Local Bodies has revealed that large number of casual labourers and consolidated paid workers were engaged in different Municipal Committees without properly advertising the posts and following selection process.
The investigation of case has been entrusted to VK Bhat but no arrest has been made so far.
