JAMMU, Sept 15: A delegation comprising the members of Ex-Central Paramilitary Force Welfare Association (CPFWA), J&K today called on CRPF Commandant Vikram Singh Thakur and expressed gratitude to Commandant for listening to the demands related to ex-servicemen and central paramilitary forces.
The members highlighted the importance of honoring the memory and service of deceased ex-servicemen. They emphasized the need for providing timely assistance to the widows of ex-servicemen.
They also raised the issue for providing financial assistance to the daughters of ex-servicemen and their families. They have proposed an exemption from GST (Goods and Services Tax) for pensioners, citing high CPC (Central Pay Commission) rates as a concern.
Similar to the defense forces, they advocated for the implementation of the One Rank One Pension policy for other paramilitary forces like BSF, ITBP, CISF, CRPF, and SSB.
Among others who were the part of delegation included S.K. Sharma (President, CPMF J&K UT), Harbans Lal (Vice President, CAMP J&K UT) and D.K. Chauhan (General Secretary).
