SRINAGAR:Expressing solidarity with the families of policemen killed in an attack on a J&K bank cash van by Hizbul Mujahideen yesterday in south Kashmir district of Kulgam, Director General of Police S P Vaid today said every support would be provided to the families of the martyrs.

A police spokesperson here said Dr Vaid visited the residence of Ishafiq Ahmad Hajam, who is one of the five policemen martyred in the attack, at Zakoora Srinagar.

He said emotional scenes were witnessed during the DGP’s visit to the martyr family and the mood of the people was somber.

The DGP consoled and expressed solidarity with the bereaved family and prayed for the eternal peace of departed soul.

While interacting with the family of the martyr, Dr Vaid said whole police department stands behind the bereaved families and shared their grief and sorrow. (AGENCIES)
