Every one must work for peace in J&K: Chaitnya Puri

JAMMU, June 2: Sending a word of caution to the Indian leadership to remain very alert and cautious while maintaining relations with China and Pakistan, famous religious personality Swami Shri Chaitnya Puri Ji Maharaj today said that we should not ignore the past bitter experiences and it was the collective responsibility of all to restore permanent peace in the Jammu and Kashmir.
Talking to media persons on his arrival  here on four-day visit  of the State, the religious Guru said that every one must work for peace in this region which has witnessed a massive blood-shed in last over two decades. He said there should not be any politics over it and it was the collective responsibility of all to work for restoring permanent peace in the State. He said we can not ignore the sacrifices of our jawans/ soldiers and the innocent people who lost lives.
While referring to the recent developments on J&K-China borders and also along the LoC in Poonch or elsewhere, Swami Chaitnya Puri said that leadership at the New Delhi should be very cautious while moving forward on any proposal in future keeping in view the past experiences. The people of country have not forgotten 1962 and even the 1947, 65,  Kargil  or Mumbai attacks. There was no need to be in hurry and the leadership must realize the sacrifices of the Indians to made supreme sacrifices, Swami ji maintained.
The killing of cows as also the girls, which are worshiped in India in the form of ‘Kanya’, should be stopped forthwith and the Government must impose strict restrictions or make laws, more stringent, to stop this practice, Swamiji said and added that India has always remained leader in the past and again, it will lead the world with its vision and knowledge in future as it is again emerging as great power in every respect.
Earlier, on reaching Jammu Chaitnya Puri ji was given grand reception by the followers. He also visited Bahu Fort temple to offer special prayers for peace in J&K. He will address grand religious gathering at Geeta Bhawan, Parade on June 4 and 5 from 5 pm onwards.
