DODA, July 16: Everest Bhalessa thrashed Friends Cricket Club (FCC) Thathri by 9 wickets in the ongoing All India 14th Gufran Memorial T-20 Cricket Championship 2018 at Sports Stadium, here today.
The tournament is being organized by Young Star Cricket Club Doda and sponsored by 10 Rashtriya Rifles Unit Doda and J&K Bank.
Batting first after winning the toss, FCC Thathri set a target of 110 runs by loosing their 9 wickets in the allotted 18 overs. Musavir Chobdar was the top scorer with 21 runs while Saddam Hussain contributed 20 runs to the total. For Everest Bhalessa, Irshad Wani scalped 4 wickets while Vaid
Parkash and Mubashir Rashid picked 1 wicket each.
In reply, Everest Bhalessa chased the target easily in 9.4 overs by losing 1 wicket. Mandeep Inder Bawa was the highest scorer with 59 runs, while Amir Wani contributed 37 runs. From FCC Thathri, Yawar took 1 wicket.
Irshad Wani of Everest Bhalessa team was declared as the man of the match for his superb bowling performance who was given prize by Ifroz Rather, Javed Zargar and Noushair Batt.
The match was officiated by Harish Raza and Munish Zutshi while Sandeep Kaushik acted as the scorer.
