JAMMU: Around 25-member European delegation will be on a three days visit to the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir from February 16.
Sources in the administration here on Sunday said, “around 25-member delegation from Europe will be visiting Jammu and Kashmir from February 16.”
Sources said that they will be arriving in Jammu likely on February 16 for a day, adding, “on February 17-18, the delegation will be visiting the Kashmir valley.”
During their stay, sources added that the delegation will be meeting the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha besides other stakeholders.”
The government representatives will also present a powerpoint presentation to the visiting delegation on prevailing situation on political set up, law and order, security and other aspects.
“The visit is proposed in the wake of situation post Abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir,” sources added.
The Government of India on August 5, 2019 revoked Article 370 and 35 A from Jammu and Kashmir and the erstwhile state was bifurcated into two Union Territories, the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and Union Territory of Ladakh.” (Agency)
