JAMMU, May 30: Jammu Private Schools & ETT Institutes Association (Progressive) has strongly criticized the Government for issuing recent controversial order on ETT institutes in the State.
A meeting of the Association was held today under its president Deep Singh, which termed the GAD order as an outcome of selfish, biased and revengeful attitude of Valley based elements in State Government who don’t want to see any progressive move outside Kashmir, particularly in the Jammu region.
Issuance of unlimited ETT NOCs while ignoring the norms took place during the regime of Peerzada Mohd Sayeed Peerzada by accepting bribes and similarly BOSE administration played a puppet role during last eight years while implementing each and every illegal order of the Minister, the meet alleged and sought justification in charging so-called renewal fee of Rs ten thousand from ETTs.
Only monitoring agencies like Universities and School Board are entitled to charge affiliation fee under the Act but it is the State School Education Department that imposed an amount of Rs ten thousand for renewal of ETT NOCs as double monitoring surcharge, Association further alleged.
