JAMMU, Aug 18: BJP Government’s promise of ‘Acche Din’ has proved out to be a big ‘Jumla’ like others which the Prime Minister Narendra Modi made during elections trails to Lok Sabha in the year 2014 as the uncontrolled inflation has made `Roti, Kapda and Makan’ unaffordable for the common man.
This was stated by Mula Ram former minister and JKPCC vice president during a meeting of senior Congress leaders and workers of Block Patta Paloura held here at Lower Roop Nagar in Raipur Domana constituency. The meeting was organized by the Uday Bhanu Chib, president Youth Congress Jammu and Kashmir. Hari Singh Chib, president DCC Jammu Rural, Rajni Bala Corporator Ward No 60, Rajinder Singh Corporator Ward No 39 were also present.
Chib also endorsed the remark made by the senior Congress leader Mula Ram. “Roti, Kapda & Makaan’, are the basic needs but the mismanagement by the PM Modi led Government has miserably failed to control the skyrocketing prices of the trio and sadly all three necessities are becoming unaffordable day by day. The vegetable vendors have started displaying rates of vegetables in quarter quantity rather than kilos making it amply clear that under Modi they also don’t expect inflation to come down”, he said and added that BJP Government and leadership should first focus on this issue before indulging in rhetoric about trillion-billion economy.
Uday Bhanu Chib said that the worst hit during the BJP Government is the youth of the country and especially the J&K UT because after passing of seven years the Government is still devoid of any concrete plan to create jobs and end the curse of joblessness. ” It is hurtful that NDA who at one point of time when BJP was in opposition had promised two crore jobs every year has no strategy to give even a 100 jobs to frustrated youth and is still popping out the Pakoda business and puncture making business models for the youth”, he said.
He said Jammu people send 27 MLA’S during 2014 Assembly elections but all failed to protect the rights of unemployed youth of Jammu and common masses.
Several senior members including Raj Singh, Som Nath Sharma, Chander Mohan Sharma, Om Parkash, Dev Raj, Shahbaj Khan, Ajmer Singh, Chotu Manhas, Raman Manhas, Atul Manhas, Dr Rajpal Hans were also present.
