JAMMU, Dec 26: Ek Sath Rang Mandal today staged Vijay Malla’s nukkad natak “Ek Aur Paryas” in its Monday theatre series in a park at Lohan Paloura.
In the play, Krishan Lal is a poor illiterate farmer hailing from a remote village and his son Bhushan is a student of 9th class. Bhushan used to sing some devotional songs in nearby temple on different occasions. Bhushan was encouraged by the devotees and other people who listen to him. Suddenly an elderly person Sunder Lal, who was well versed with music initiated to teach him (Bhushan) the basics of singing and music. Under guidance of Sunderlal, Bhushan developed melodious voice.
Bhushan started dreaming as a big singer but he had no guidelines where to go whom to meet or any suitable platform. An aganwari worker Kusum Lata from same village came to know that Bhushan is a good singer but he has no resources. Kusum Lata recommended Bhushan to an organization who were preparing for a event.
Bhushan participated in the programme. It was totally different experience for Bhushan. Participating in that event was a great achievement for Bhushan but the organization refused to get him enrolled as he was still lacking many more things in singing and music. Bhushan was depressed and lost his confidence to continue singing, but Kusum Lata encouraged him that he should not loose heart and concentrate on singing under his teacher/guide.
After few months, Bhushan was again invited to participate in a folk singing competition at tehsil headquarters. It was a grand show and Bhushan got 1st prize in the competition. Bhushan’s father was so happy and decided that he will help Bhushan to every extent for singing. Bhushan realized that by failures a man becomes strong and achieve the success.
