JAMMU, Oct 14: EK Sath Rang Mandal (ESRM) today presented it’s 373rd Monday Theatre with Vijay Malla’s new progressive awareness Nukad” Dushman Plastic” under Monday Theatre series at Jugi Jupadi ,Rani Talab,Behind Gurdwara, Digiana, here.
Plastic is a big curse and a challenge for our society. Today’s Nukad is based on the damages and bad effects of plastic on the mankind and all living creatures on earth.
Everybody is not well informed and even educated to know the reality of Plastic.
Nukad begins with a title song “Aab Naahi Hai Humey Gawara/ Plastic Sey Kuro Kinaara.
A young group of social activists led by an old man visits different sects of people to aware them about the bad effects of Plastic in their daily life.
They ask an old lady has she ever used plastic in her life? “No -No never I have not used plastic” she replied ” I prefer wood, card board, paper even steel or iron and best is cloth”, she added.
She says “I am always requesting my family members not to use this poisonous plastic which harms your health”. Now it was turn of volunteers from social service who defined this dangerous plastic.
“If you will use it for drinking water it creates poisonous germs for your health”.“ When we mix it in fields (in the soil) your cultivation is debarred and if we spread it in the streets pet animals swallow it and finally they die”.
Another volunteer explains what is single use plastic ? “When we purchase our daily used things like fruit, vegetables, milk, curd or some other items we carry them in plastic carry bags, or when we take cold drinks, tea or coffee we use plastic, even when we are enjoying snacks like chat Kachaloo or Pani Puri the same single use plastic is there,. We should immediately take hard decision to stop it’s use and ban it for ever”.
“The plastic is a big danger for environment, for our soil and air,. Even we should explain and convince our School going children to stop using single use plastic”.
“We must fallow the guidelines of our warning and use paper bags cloth bags and steel bottles,. Our administration has already restricted use of single use plastic in households, shops, hotels restaurants public places,. So we all must stop it’s use for our good health and welfare of Society.
Public who witnessed this Ñukad were convinced as they were made aware about ill effects of plastic.
Actors who performed this awareness Nukad were Ashok Sharma, Raju Mad,Kuldeep Raj,Kavita,Shally, Seema Dogra and Vijay Malla.
